Forward Deployed Data Engineering - Manager

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Data Engineering Manager within PwC’s Tax practice, you will lead the design, development and deployment of innovative software solutions that drive digital transformation and improve business performance. You will own end‑to‑end project delivery, manage client expectations and mentor a team of engineers to produce high‑quality applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and deployment of data‑centric software solutions that enable digital transformation for tax clients.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring delivery of exceptional user experiences and alignment with business goals.
• Oversee design, coding, testing and integration of applications, including API management and enterprise system connectivity.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline development.
• Analyze system components to improve architecture and identify integration opportunities.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Resolve conflicts and issues with stakeholders to keep projects on track.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in data engineering or software development.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage client‑facing projects.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
