Food Transporter / Delivery Driver – Full & Part Time

About the role

Chartwells K12 is seeking reliable Food Transporters/Delivery Drivers to support its school nutrition program in Baton Rouge. You will be responsible for moving food, supplies, and related items between the kitchen and various service areas, ensuring timely and safe deliveries during morning shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up requisitioned supplies and completed production orders from staging clerks.
• Load and unload orders onto the delivery vehicle in a safe, orderly manner.
• Transport hot and cold food items while maintaining required temperature and sanitation standards.
• Collect empty containers, rejected merchandise, and ensure the vehicle remains clean.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and follow all traffic and safety regulations.
• Provide courteous, detail‑oriented customer service to school staff and students.

Required profile

• Valid state driver’s license.
• Food handler’s permit where required.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, full‑time or part‑time.
• Willingness to learn and follow sanitation and safety guidelines.
