Food Expeditor

About the role

The Food Expeditor ensures every order leaving the kitchen is accurate, timely, and meets Torchy's quality standards. This position bridges the kitchen and service staff, helping guests receive the best tacos every time.

Key responsibilities

• Verify tickets, double‑check modifications, and confirm order accuracy.
• Record and communicate ticket times to keep kitchen flow efficient.
• Escalate allergy or complex tickets to a manager for guest safety.
• Portion salsas, label and date prep items, and track yields.
• Set up and break down stations, restocking as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and perform daily line sweeps.
• Prepare chips and dips in ticket order to ensure freshness.

Required profile

• Valid Food Handler certification (must be obtained by first day or as required by location).
• Previous expeditor or kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for several hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to 40 lb, and reaching shelves.
• Flexible schedule to meet restaurant needs.
• High sense of urgency and a fun, team‑oriented attitude.
