FOH Porter

About the role

The Front of House Porter supports the kitchen and dining areas by maintaining clean and organized serviceware and ensuring sanitation standards are met. Working closely with the culinary team, the Porter helps deliver a polished guest experience in a high‑end restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve, polish, and inspect silverware, china, and glassware using appropriate polishing cloths.
• Prioritize and deliver cleaned serviceware to the dining room and bar based on immediate needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils, and storage spaces.
• Empty and clean garbage cans with water or steam, and manage trash removal to designated pickup zones.
• Sweep and scrub kitchen floors in the work area only.
• Prepare fresh‑squeezed juices for service as required.
• Perform frequent cleaning and disinfection of high‑risk bathroom areas and high‑touch surfaces, documenting activities in a sanitation log.
• Restock restroom supplies, mop floors, clean mirrors, sinks, and toilet seats, and wear appropriate protective equipment.

Required profile

• Ability to work quickly as part of a team and follow directions.
• Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning knowledge.
• Clear communication in English to ensure workplace safety.
