Floating Maintenance Technician – Portland Metro Area

About the role

Greystar is seeking an experienced Floating Maintenance Technician to support nine residential communities across the Portland Metro area, extending to Salem. The role is full‑time, Monday‑through‑Friday, with occasional on‑call duties, and offers a 40% rent discount at Greystar properties.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete repairs promptly, including appliance troubleshooting.
• Prepare apartments for new move‑ins by performing the “make‑ready” process.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of building exteriors, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Assist with vendor coordination and manage routine equipment inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
