Floating Maintenance Technician

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician for a 90‑day temporary assignment in Orlando. The role focuses on ensuring that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking purposes.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical tasks in a residential property environment.
• Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, and Greystar’s operational procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
