Fleet Operations Associate

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Fleet Operations Associate in the Bronx, New York, to join its Fleet Operations Team. The associate keeps cars clean and maintained and moves them to where Zipcar members need them, working all around the city by foot, bike, public transit or Zipcar. The work involves tasks such as changing a tire, filling the gas tank, cleaning, and coordinating a tow or repair.

Key responsibilities

• Keep vehicles clean and maintained so they are ready for Zipcar members
• Move vehicles around the city to where they are needed
• Perform tasks such as changing a tire, filling the gas tank, cleaning, and coordinating a tow or repair
• Work closely with the operations team so vehicle status updates are provided

Required profile

• Strong time management skills to handle multiple priorities and tasks
• Excellent communication with the operations team
• Flexibility to work 40-hour weeks including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and conditions
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record per company standards
• Ability to carry tools and marketing materials (up to 50 lbs)
