First Line Manager – ESP Assembly Operations (2nd Shift)

About the role

As a First Line Manager on the 2nd shift, you will lead the ESP Assembly Operations within the VM Value Stream. You will be responsible for daily execution, continuous improvement, and achieving production targets while fostering a safe, lean, and high‑performing team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 2nd‑shift assembly activities across the ESP value stream.
• Identify and drive projects that improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization.
• Perform process confirmations, correct deviations, and ensure work standards are met.
• Train and develop skilled and semi‑skilled associates.
• Monitor daily performance using MES and analytics to meet targets and drive continuous improvement.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles (BPS) to people, information, and material flow.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans.
• Support career development and promote a customer‑focused team culture.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree with 1‑3 years of technical or leadership experience (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Experience in high‑volume automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Proven project leadership and ability to prioritize workload.
• Self‑initiative and ability to work on cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• MES systems (e.g., Promaster).
• SAP.
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
• Lean manufacturing concepts and BPS methodology.
