About the role
This full‑time night‑shift position is responsible for operating and maintaining the steam plant at the Jessup facility, ensuring reliable production of steam for Maryland’s environmental services.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the water‑tube boiler system and associated steam plant equipment during the night shift.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.
- Monitor plant performance, record data, and report any abnormalities to supervisory staff.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least three years of steam plant operating experience.
- Valid Maryland First‑Grade Stationary Engineer license and a driver’s license with fewer than five points.
