Fire Sprinkler Inspector / Service Technician

About the role

JMEE is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector / Service Technician to perform routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of water‑based fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and multi‑family properties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspection, testing, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, and fire pump systems per NFPA 25 and local AHJ guidelines.
• Tag sprinkler systems in compliance with State Fire Marshal regulations.
• Diagnose deficiencies, perform repairs or upgrades, and test dry valves, flow, tamper switches, and fire pump performance.
• Complete digital inspection reports, deficiency logs, and work orders using company software.
• Communicate system status and code compliance to clients, site managers, and fire marshals.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for emergency service calls.

Required profile

• Active Texas State Fire Marshal RME‑I (General Inspector) license.
• 2+ years of field experience with commercial and residential water‑based fire protection systems.
• NICET Level II in Inspection & Testing of Water‑Based Systems (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, lift 50–75 lb, and work outdoors in varying weather.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25.
• Proficiency with fire sprinkler system inspection, testing, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience operating pipe cutters, threaders, and groovers for on‑site repairs.
