Finisher II – 1st Shift (Onsite, Buffalo, NY)

About the role

Moog is seeking a Finisher II for the 1st shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. The Finisher ensures aerospace components meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards before inspection and assembly, playing a vital role in delivering reliable parts for demanding military applications.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret operation sheets, blueprints, and sketches to plan and execute the finishing sequence.
• Select, sharpen, and fabricate special tooling required for each job.
• Choose appropriate lighting aids, inspection gauges, and visual magnification to meet quality specifications.
• Perform finishing on complex bodies with multiple internal hole intersections and occasionally handle tasks performed by Finisher I employees.
• Instruct and assist newer Finisher II employees on new jobs and methods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Minimum two years of experience as a Finisher in a machine‑shop environment.
