Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

The Financial Reporting Analyst supports the preparation of external financial and regulatory reports for a public‑banking institution. This role focuses on accuracy, learning, and timely execution while working under the guidance of senior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual external financial reports, including components of Forms 10‑Q and 10‑K.
• Support the preparation and review of regulatory filings such as Call Reports and FR reports.
• Apply established accounting guidance and internal policies to recurring reporting activities.
• Research new accounting standards and draft technical accounting memoranda.
• Document and test internal controls to ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reporting support to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with the Controller, external auditors, legal advisors, and third‑party service providers.
• Represent the bank professionally with internal and external customers.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in accounting principles and GAAP.
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from senior staff.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance and internal controls.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., Call Reports, FR reports).
• Understanding of Forms 10‑Q and 10‑K filing processes.
