Financial Controller – Multi‑Site Construction Portfolio

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead accounting, reporting, and internal‑control functions for a fast‑growing, PE‑backed commercial construction platform operating across multiple sites. Partnering closely with the CFO and local operations teams, the role drives financial performance, supports acquisitions, and scales processes during rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for all operating locations.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Ensure accurate accounting for construction contracts, WIP, retainage, change orders and job costing.
• Manage percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition and other applicable methodologies.
• Maintain financial dashboards, KPIs and operational reporting metrics.
• Monitor project profitability, backlog reporting and WIP schedules.
• Partner with operations leaders to identify risks and opportunities on active projects.
• Maintain strong internal controls, support external audits and tax compliance.
• Lead and standardise future corporate accounting teams and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive construction accounting experience.
• 3+ years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
• Experience with multi‑entity or multi‑site organizations.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
