Financial Controller – Build In-House Finance Function

About the role

North Texas Plastic Surgery and Oceana Med Spa are seeking their first in‑house Financial Controller to design and lead a finance function for a rapidly expanding multi‑location healthcare enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Establish bookkeeping and a disciplined monthly close calendar, delivering financials by business day 10.
• Manage multi‑entity accounting and consolidation across surgical practice, med spa, surgery center, and anesthesia entities, including intercompany eliminations.
• Produce location‑level P&L statements and management reports by site, service line, and provider.
• Develop and modernize internal controls, accounting policies, and the chart of accounts.
• Oversee cash management, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and fixed‑asset/capital equipment accounting.
• Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax matters and support partnership, valuation, and other transaction work.
• Hire and develop a small internal accounting team as the function scales.

Required profile

• CPA certification required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; public accounting (audit) background strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Extensive multi‑entity, multi‑location experience in healthcare, med spa, dental, veterinary, or similar consumer‑service environments.
• Proven track record of building or rebuilding an accounting function, including system implementations and close acceleration.
• Fluency with QuickBooks and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
