Financial Controller Lead (USA)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Financial Controller Lead to join its Finance & Accounting business in the United States. The role is based onsite at any Wood office location across the country and serves as the primary finance leader for the assigned country.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with external financial reporting requirements and uphold strong financial governance.
• Manage stewardship of the country balance sheet, including working capital, cash, and inter‑company activity.
• Develop and lead high‑performing local finance teams.
• Deliver accurate external, monthly and quarterly reporting for all entities within the country.
• Drive financial forecasting and budgeting to support Business Unit and Business Group performance.
• Maintain accountability for regional internal controls and broader governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance controlling or similar senior finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of external reporting standards and internal control requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to build and manage finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
