Financial Controller

About the role

Heritage Holding, a private‑equity firm focused on operational growth and acquisitions, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead finance functions for its Heritage Fencing and remote patient monitoring platforms. The role will evolve to focus on a single platform within 6‑12 months as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead post‑acquisition financial integrations, including ERP migrations and accounting consolidations.
• Conduct variance, trend and cost analyses to support strategic decision‑making.
• Report weekly KPIs to operational leaders and the Heritage team.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting liquidity needs across entities.
• Coordinate external audits and resolve audit issues promptly.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and variance reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, government reporting and financial disclosures.
• Supervise ERP data entry, reporting, invoicing and audit preparation.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and present recommendations.
• Maintain lender relationships and monitor loan covenant compliance.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and timeliness.
• Guide regional bookkeepers and financial managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial leadership within M&A, roll‑up or business‑consolidation environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate finance best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑entity consolidations and integrations.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven insights.
