Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and enhance core accounting operations within a fast‑growing organization based in the United States. This role offers ownership of financial integrity, reporting accuracy, and scalable accounting processes while partnering closely with executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly financial close process, delivering accurate financial statements on time.
• Maintain general ledger integrity through reconciliations, journal entries, and policy management.
• Lead annual audit preparation and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and uphold effective internal controls.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and expense management.
• Analyze operating expenses, budget variances, trends, and financial risks.
• Partner with finance leadership on monthly and quarterly reporting initiatives.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and consolidation activities.
• Support tax compliance and regulatory filings with external advisors.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product, Technology, and People teams to maintain financial accuracy.
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements for efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• Active CPA certification.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller responsibilities.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Proven ability to lead audit processes and manage external auditor relationships.
• Strong judgment, hands‑on mindset, and ability to work independently while partnering with leadership.
