Financial Controller

About the role

The company is a growing food manufacturing business seeking a Financial Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, the role combines hands‑on financial management with strategic partnership across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities, including month‑end, year‑end, and management reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Oversee operational finance functions such as inventory, costing, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Partner with operations and production teams to improve profitability, efficiency, and cost transparency.
• Lead manufacturing finance and product‑costing initiatives to support pricing and margin optimization.
• Strengthen financial controls, compliance, and reporting processes.
• Manage and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support systems‑enhancement initiatives and help scale finance processes for future growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA/CMA preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, consumer products, or a related industry.
