Financial Controller – Finance & HR Leader

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Controller who will also lead our Human Resources function. Based in Brooklyn, NY, you will partner with executive leadership to drive financial performance while shaping people strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, GL, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and present them to the board.
• Develop, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Lead HR operations: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations and benefits administration.
• Develop and enforce HR policies, maintain compliance with employment laws.
• Partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives, risk mitigation and process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably with HR oversight.
• Strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross‑functional teams.
