Financial Controller – Crypto & Blockchain Accounting

About the role

Overland Blockchain is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting engagements for clients in the digital asset, blockchain, and emerging technology sectors. You will act as the day‑to‑day accounting lead, overseeing monthly closes, financial statements, and the development of scalable finance infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accounting lead for 8–12 client engagements.
• Own monthly close, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and operational accounting workflows.
• Manage and review work performed by staff accountants and a global delivery team.
• Coordinate directly with client executives, founders, auditors, and tax providers.
• Support digital‑asset accounting workflows, including wallet reconciliation, token transactions, staking, and sub‑ledger integrations.
• Design accounting processes, implement controls, and optimize finance operations, driving continuous improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an Accounting Manager or Controller role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Hands‑on experience with blockchain and digital‑asset accounting (exchanges, wallets, token‑based transactions).
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills and experience directing support staff.
