About the role

Our client, a global hedge fund, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its Corporate Accounting team in New York. The role will oversee daily accounting operations, lead a US‑based finance team, and collaborate with technology partners to streamline processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day company accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the US accounts team.
• Partner with technologists to automate accounting workflows.
• Liaise with external financial auditors, tax advisors, and banking institutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial accounting or controlling.
• CPA certification or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
