About the role

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is seeking a full‑time Financial Analyst 3 to lead financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for its Central operations. You will support strategic decision‑making by preparing accurate financial models, budgets, and variance analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support financial analyses, delivering insights for decision‑making.
• Develop complex revenue and cost models for strategic initiatives.
• Review departmental budgets and forecasts, providing recommendations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial projections that incorporate market trends.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and trend forecasting.
• Identify and correct financial reporting errors to enhance accuracy.
• Create ad‑hoc reports to meet specific business needs.
• Lead the collection and analysis of large data sets.
• Develop strategic reports to support business decisions.
• Optimize policies and procedures in line with best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and support team development.
• Communicate projections and insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Implement improvements to financial reporting systems.
• Utilize advanced tools for predictive and trend analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
• Strong learning agility and ability to adapt to new procedures and technologies.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
