Financial Analysis Manager – Insurance Oversight

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a Financial Analysis Manager to lead the Insurance Financial Oversight department. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Oversight, you will supervise analysts and contract staff while ensuring regulatory compliance of licensed insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day assignments of Financial Analysts and contract staff.
• Coordinate review and prioritization of risk‑bearing insurance entities.
• Approve prioritization changes and develop supervisory plans with examination staff.
• Ensure analysis of annual and quarterly insurer financial statements and supplemental filings.
• Utilize NAIC tools and other sources to assess insurer solvency.
• Correspond with state, federal, and international regulators on investigations.
• Research complex issues involving Georgia law, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Facilitate distribution and presentation of analysis results.
• Oversee investigations to confirm compliance with NAIC standards.
• Support departmental record‑keeping and IT initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a related assignment or equivalent experience as a Financial Examiner SPV.
• Demonstrated ability to work with regulatory staff and external agencies.
