Finance Manager - Technology Finance & Strategy (Virtual)

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Finance Manager for Technology Finance & Strategy, working virtually. The role delivers analytical solutions that increase visibility into AI and software investments, improving cost transparency and helping Technology and Finance make better decisions. It focuses on AI tool financial analysis, enterprise AI spend management and software optimization and deal support.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and business leaders to model, evaluate and forecast AI consumption, build unit economics and cost models, set accountability frameworks and find cost optimization opportunities.
• Serve as financial lead for AI spend, designing dashboards, allocation models and data pipelines to track AI spend and consumption.
• Work with Technology, Procurement and business units to evaluate software portfolio use and support contract negotiations, renewals and licensing decisions with financial modeling.
• Conduct financial planning, review monthly expenditures and metrics, and help prepare the annual budget.
• Lead and coordinate work teams, ensure compliance with policies, and drive key functional financial metrics.
• Build strategic alliances with business partners and facilitate cross-functional communication with Finance, HR, Real Estate, Operations and Information Systems.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Typically reports to a Senior Manager; the position has no direct reports.
• Typical travel of 5% to 20% overnight; mostly sits in a comfortable indoor setting.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, 5 years of experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and analysis and reporting of financial data.
