Finance Accounting Group Manager - C14

About the role

Citi's U.S. Consumer Cards (USCC) business unit, which includes Partnership Cards and Development, is looking for a Finance Accounting Group Manager. The role reports to the USCC Controller for Fiserv Portfolios and covers compliance with contractual financial obligations, financial and partnership reporting and control matters for the consumer credit card portfolio. It works across the Controllers Organization, the business, Lead Finance Officers, and internal and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Fiserv portfolio revenue share settlements in line with contractual financial obligations
• Provide governance and oversight of accounting operations to ensure accurate reporting
• Review and examine key controls for accounting processes across portfolio reporting and focus on implementing policies and procedures
• Partner with legal entity managers, the Balance Sheet control group, global process leads and owners across multiple locations, and escalate concerns to stakeholders for resolution
• Resolve issues affecting more than one area, influence leadership across functions, and act as subject matter expert for senior stakeholders
• Assess risk during business decisions and assist in calculating GL entries for monthly revenue share and business accruals
• Take part in monthly income statement reviews and balance sheet variance analysis during month-end close, and prepare monthly partner settlement documents and revenue share calculations
• Work with the audit team to monitor controls and accuracy of accounting

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in accounting management with commensurate stakeholder management experience
• Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred
• Desired but not required: CPA, MBA or CA or equivalent combination of education
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision, exercise independent judgement, and communicate diplomatically to influence colleagues and leaders
