Field Superintendent – Aspen, Colorado

About the role

The Field Superintendent will lead the on‑site construction of a complex, high‑profile multifamily project in the Aspen area. You will be responsible for organizing, planning, and scheduling work to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while protecting Shaw Construction’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all on‑site construction activities in line with contract requirements and Shaw’s best practices.
• Study contract documents (plans, specifications, Owner‑Contractor Agreement) and lead the division of work among the Shaw field team.
• Review subcontractor scopes, develop site planning, logistics, shoring, concrete excavation, and stormwater management strategies.
• Develop, monitor, and communicate the Primavera P6 CPM progress schedule.
• Establish and enforce a comprehensive safety and security program compliant with all applicable codes.
• Schedule, implement, and inspect subcontractor work, including surveyors and shoring contractors.
• Implement the Shaw 1‑2‑3 Quality Control program, conduct pre‑phase meetings, inspections, and coordinate third‑party tests.
• Maintain master deficiency logs, on‑site document records, and oversee submittal review and approval processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising field construction of complex multifamily projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, plans, and specifications.
• Ability to lead on‑site teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
