Field Service Technician / Mechanic

About the role

Bobcat of Houston – Pearland is looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to perform on‑site inspections, repairs, and reconditioning of construction and agricultural equipment. You will work independently in the field, ensuring high‑quality service and maintaining a professional appearance while representing the company to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to diagnose equipment failures following established guidelines.
• Repair and recondition machine components on‑site with a focus on quality and safety.
• Plan repair methods, sequence tasks, and pre‑order required parts and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized; maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Communicate respectfully with customers and co‑workers, wearing required personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as an equipment technician or field service technician.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork attitude, especially with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Technical school certificate or equivalent mechanical repair experience preferred.
