Field Service Technician – Material Handling Equipment

About the role

Fuchs Material Handling Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission, and maintain its range of material handling equipment worldwide. The role combines on‑site technical support with training and product improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, commission and troubleshoot new FUCHS equipment at customer sites.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on hydraulic, electrical and engine systems.
• Document service activities and generate field service reports.
• Escalate quality issues and provide performance data to engineering.
• Deliver PowerPoint‑based classroom training and hands‑on demonstrations for service schools.
• Assist the Help Desk and support warranty claim evaluations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 75 % internationally (passport required).
• Dependable, punctual and able to work independently.
