Field Service Technician - Friday to Tuesday

About the role

GLORY is hiring a Field Service Technician in Santa Rosa, CA, who will be the face of the company and directly manage customer service and care for its clients. The technician independently troubleshoots and repairs high-speed cash-handling equipment, tracks and manages parts and tools, and stays up to date on technical and functional changes to the equipment. The schedule is Friday to Tuesday, 10 AM to 8 PM, and the company provides a van.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Diagnose system problems and make repairs
• Keep customers informed of progress during maintenance or downtime
• Complete machine installations, engineering change notices and hardware/software upgrades
• Follow safety guidelines, complete environmental health and safety training and report job site accidents

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or completed studies in electromechanics, electrical engineering or equivalent work experience
• Certificates in mechanics, electronics, automation or data processing preferred
• 3-5 years of technical field service repair experience preferred (e.g. aviation, medical equipment, vending machines, military repair)
• Valid driver's license; must live within about 30-45 miles of Santa Rosa or Sebastopol for daily commutes to customer sites
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, sit or stand for long periods, and work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis, including occasional on-call duty

Required skills

• Electrical schematics, logic diagrams, mechanical drawings, AC/DC power distribution and digital/analog circuitry
• Experience repairing high-speed paper handling machines such as check sorters, mail sorters, currency sorters, ATMs or copiers preferred
• Microsoft Office and basic PC skills; the role is focused on electro-mechanical repair, not IT
