Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technology

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home’s field team and become the face of cutting‑edge home automation. You will install, service, and demonstrate smart home devices while helping customers upgrade to safer, more connected solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems at residential locations.
• Assess each home’s needs and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades.
• Educate homeowners on system operation and best practices for security and energy efficiency.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any technical issues to the support team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service sales is a plus.
• Reliability and integrity when working independently in customers’ homes.

Required skills

• Security camera installation
• Smart lock installation
• Home automation system setup and troubleshooting
• Basic cable/satellite installation knowledge (preferred)
