Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs and maintains cutting‑edge smart home technology while helping customers upgrade to safer, more connected solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems in residential settings.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades that enhance safety and convenience.
• Educate homeowners on operating their new smart home devices to ensure confidence and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, sales, and service calls.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Technical aptitude – background in cable/satellite installation, pest control, construction, solar, or similar fields is helpful.
