Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs and maintains cutting‑edge smart home technology for customers in Jackson, MS. You will combine technical installation skills with on‑site sales to deliver secure, connected homes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Assess each residence, recommend upgrades, and sell additional equipment or services.
• Educate homeowners on system operation and best‑practice security habits.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with team leads for continuous coaching and career development.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Sales mindset; experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance or service sales is a plus.
• Reliability and integrity when representing the brand on customer sites.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new smart‑home technologies.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of security cameras.
• Installation and configuration of smart locks.
• Setup and integration of home automation systems.
