Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home’s field team in Converse, TX, as a Field Service Professional. You will be the face of the brand, installing cutting‑edge smart home technology while identifying opportunities to enhance customers’ security and convenience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Assess each residence on‑site and recommend equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
• Educate homeowners on system operation to ensure confidence and safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation using company‑provided tablet and cell phone.
• Drive a company vehicle, manage drive‑time, and adhere to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Sales‑oriented mindset with experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or similar fields.
• Customer‑first attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently in the field.
• Willingness to learn technical installation skills and grow within the organization.

Required skills

• Security camera installation.
• Smart lock installation.
• Home automation system troubleshooting.
