Field Service Professional – Smart Home Tech

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home’s field team in Reno, NV, where you’ll combine technical expertise with sales acumen to install and service cutting‑edge smart home technology. You’ll be the face of the brand, ensuring customers enjoy secure, connected homes while identifying opportunities for upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Assess customer homes on‑site and recommend equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
• Educate homeowners on system operation to maximize safety and convenience.
• Maintain accurate job documentation using provided tablets and mobile tools.
• Collaborate with team leaders for continuous coaching and career growth.

Required profile

• Customer‑first attitude with strong integrity and rapport‑building skills.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service sales is a plus.
• Technical aptitude – background in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Required skills
