Field Service Engineer – Diagnostic Imaging (Cincinnati)

About the role

Join Philips as a Field Service Engineer in Cincinnati, where you will use your technical expertise to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites. You will act as the primary technical liaison, ensuring exceptional customer service while generating service revenue. The role involves extensive travel across the region and occasional overnight stays.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of imaging equipment, adhering to Philips, state, and federal regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve electronic, mechanical, and networking issues using appropriate tools and test equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including service work orders, timesheets, expense reports, and field change orders.
• Collaborate with the regional team to improve processes, identify training gaps, and expand technical capabilities.
• Travel 1‑4 hours daily, with occasional overnight trips by air or train.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + year experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment (field or hospital‑based).
• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent; BSEE/BSEET/BSME preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations, and to safely handle radiation sources.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and networking theory applied to medical imaging equipment.
• Proficiency with diagnostic imaging tools, test equipment, and Philips-specific systems.
• Ability to interpret and execute installation, preventive maintenance, and field change orders.
