Field Service Engineer – Columbia, SC

About the role

Allow your passion for improving lives to shine in this role where you’ll be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to entitlements, setting expectations, and meeting commitments and arrival times.
• Perform installations, preventative maintenance, service work orders, field change orders, and related documentation in compliance with Philips, state, and federal regulations.
• Utilize tools, support resources, and escalation processes to resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems promptly.
• Travel up to 70% across the geography, with average driving time of 1‑4 hours daily and occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in diagnostic imaging service environment or 4+ years in electromechanical industries; preferred CT/IGT/Ultrasound experience.
• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent; BSEE/BSEET/BSME preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, on‑call, and to safely handle radiation sources.

Required skills

• Electronic, mechanical, and networking theory application for installation, diagnosis, and repair.
• Use of diagnostic and test equipment and relevant tools.
