Field Manager – Landover, MD

About the role

The Field Manager leads daily field and installation operations for a home‑improvement company, ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. This position provides hands‑on leadership to installers and subcontractors while maintaining clear communication with customers throughout each project.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily and weekly field operations, including installer and subcontractor scheduling and workload balancing.
• Review and approve job readiness, installation documentation, and project timelines, resolving issues that could affect delivery, quality, or customer experience.
• Direct, supervise, train, coach, and evaluate W‑2 installers and 1099 subcontractors to ensure consistent execution of company standards, safety, and quality expectations.
• Interview, select, onboard, and retain qualified installers and subcontractors, maintaining a ready and compliant labor pipeline.
• Act as the escalation point for complex operational and customer issues, collaborating with Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading field or installation teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on safety and quality.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make decisive judgments.
