Field Clinical Specialist – Shockwave Medical

About the role

The Field Clinical Specialist will provide case support and training to physicians for Shockwave Medical's Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology in both peripheral and coronary procedures. The role spans pre‑market and post‑market phases and includes participation in clinical studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver physician and hospital staff training and procedural case coverage for safe and effective device use.
• Support clinical studies by managing investigators, providing device training, and ensuring timely data collection.
• Maintain relationships with medical advisors and clinical leaders, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Handle administrative duties such as travel planning, budgeting, and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, science, nursing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years supporting interventional or surgical procedures in a hospital setting, or 1 year industry life‑sciences sales support.
• Working knowledge of clinical research, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance.
• Strong organizational, critical‑thinking and influencing skills.
