Field Account Representative (Multi-Family) - Stockton, CA

About the role

HD Supply is hiring an Outside Sales Account Manager for multi-family housing accounts in the Stockton, Tracy and Lodi, CA area. You will sell MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) supplies and other products to an established portfolio of multi-family customers, maintaining and growing sales. The position offers a competitive base salary plus a sales incentive bonus, with a laptop/tablet, cell phone and monthly expenses included.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new accounts, retain existing ones and expand opportunities with current customers to meet yearly sales goals.
• Build strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers, and manage sales volume with existing customers.
• Develop plans to expand business presence in the assigned area and share market and competitor insights with colleagues.
• Collaborate with leadership on market trends and customer needs to shape sales strategy.
• Attend monthly association meetings, engage in local trade shows and represent the company regionally or nationally.
• Drive sales growth in core and emerging industries and markets.

Required profile

• Must live in the Stockton, CA area; the position is open only to residents of California.
• 4+ years of B2B field sales experience; direct sales to multi-family communities is a plus.
• Preferred: large volume of product lines, rapport building, organizational skills, knowledge of handheld technology, and familiarity with facilities products such as hardware, electrical and lighting.
• Preferred: consultative and solution selling, proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals remotely, and a clean motor vehicle record (an MVR check is run).
• Education: typically a BS/BA in a related field, or an MS/MA with 2-4 years of experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or a similar CRM.
• Data analysis and troubleshooting of incomplete or inconsistent data.
