Federal Work Study – Dual Enrollment Assistant

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a motivated student to join the Recruitment Division as a Federal Work Study (FWS) Dual Enrollment Assistant. This part‑time position supports the dual‑enrollment program at Gwinnett Technical College, providing clerical and customer‑service assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clerical support and office assistance to recruitment staff.
• Answer inquiries and supply information about Gwinnett Technical College to internal and external customers.
• Make copies, organize routine activities, and assist with special projects.
• Assist department personnel as needed and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible for Federal Work Study funds at Gwinnett Technical College and in good academic standing.
• Ability to work under close supervision and follow directions.

Required skills

• Fast and accurate typing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional communication via phone, email, in‑person, and messaging systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and use sound judgment.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $13.50.
• 19 hours per week with a flexible schedule (Mon‑Thu 8 am‑5 pm, Fri 8 am‑4 pm).
