FBS Data Product Owner III

About the role

Capgemini is recruiting, on behalf of one of the United States' largest insurers (over $25 billion in gross written premiums, serving more than 10 million households), a Product Owner III for its FBS data products. The role defines and prioritizes features and user stories, sets acceptance criteria and works with cross-functional teams to deliver product increments. It calls for strong communication skills, a deep understanding of agile methods and experience in the insurance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the vision, roadmap and backlog for data products, and manage the backlog prioritized by business value.
• Partner with the business owner to understand needs, manage scope and add or eliminate user stories, contributing heavily to strategy.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data product features.
• Work with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to prioritize and deliver solutions.
• Champion data governance, privacy and compliance best practices.
• Act as the voice of the customer to ensure usability and adoption.
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning and demos, and monitor product performance.
• Support the integration of AI/ML solutions and advanced analytics into product offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally in data or analytics domains, with 3-5 years in an Agile environment.
• 3-5 years as a Product Owner, or at least 1 year as a PO II.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Preferred: background in analytics, data science or software development, and experience in a fast-paced, data-driven product environment.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of data engineering, data architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with SQL, data modeling and modern data stack tools (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow).
• Agile/Scrum experience and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams.
• Product Owner certification (e.g. CSPO) is a plus.
