About the role

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking qualified candidates to join its Special Agent workforce with a focus on cybersecurity and technology. This position blends investigative duties with advanced technical expertise to protect the United States from cyber‑threats, terrorism, fraud, and other national security challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal law, including cyber‑crimes and technology‑related offenses.
• Analyze digital evidence, network traffic, and system logs to uncover malicious activity.
• Collaborate with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law‑enforcement partners.
• Maintain physical fitness standards required for law‑enforcement duties.
• Provide expert testimony and briefing to senior officials as needed.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel and meet FBI employment eligibility requirements.
