About the role

Colorado Legal Services is seeking law students for a fall internship in its Colorado Springs office. Interns will support general legal services, shadow attorneys, and receive training on client‑centered approaches while gaining hands‑on experience in family law, public benefits, housing, consumer law, and related matters.

Key responsibilities

Draft letters and simple motions for attorney review.
Assist with hearing preparation, memoranda, legal research, client communication, and case management.
Advocate in court when permitted under Law Student Practice requirements.

Required profile

Strong commitment to legal issues affecting low‑income individuals.
Interest in legal research, writing, and client interviewing.
Confidence to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required skills
