About the role

The Southern Regional Technical College seeks an Economics Faculty member to deliver industry‑relevant instruction, support student success, and contribute to workforce readiness. This full‑time position involves developing curriculum, teaching courses, and guiding experiential learning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, and lesson plans aligned with state standards and accreditation requirements.
• Deliver instruction using innovative teaching methods and instructional technologies.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Coordinate and supervise experiential learning components such as practicums, simulations, and internships.
• Prepare and submit budget requests for instructional supplies and equipment.
• Maintain program, licensure, and industry certification requirements.
• Produce required accreditation and administrative documentation and reports.
• Implement lab management and safety plans for instructional environments.
• Provide academic and career advising to students.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver economics coursework at the post‑secondary level.
• Understanding of state board policies, accreditation standards, and college curriculum guidelines.
• Strong commitment to student success and workforce readiness.
• Effective communication skills with students, faculty, and staff.
