Facility Maintenance Assistant Director – East Central Regional Hospital

About the role

The Facility Maintenance Assistant Director supports the Director of Facilities in overseeing all engineering, maintenance, renovation and construction activities at East Central Regional Hospital. This role works closely with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure a safe, functional environment for patients and staff while adhering to state guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and guide subordinate staff in daily work assignments.
• Coordinate engineering, maintenance, renovation and construction projects for the hospital facilities.
• Review architectural and engineering plans and conduct on‑site inspections to ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and oversee contractor performance.
• Develop and monitor budgets for facility projects.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of experience in facility engineering, maintenance, renovation or construction.
• Minimum two years in a supervisory, lead‑worker or team‑leader role, or equivalent experience at a lower‑level Facility Maintenance Engineer position.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
