Facilities Technician II

About the role

The Facilities Tech II ensures the resort’s buildings and equipment are safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained, supporting a high‑energy, adventure‑focused environment in Girdwood, Alaska.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, adjust, and repair electrical equipment such as motors, fans, wiring, and lighting.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, including HVAC filter changes, fan coil cleaning, and refrigeration tasks.
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general building repairs.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Test and inspect pool equipment and monitor water chemistry.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training, or minimum two years (Tech I) to four years (Tech II) of skilled trade experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance manuals, and technical documents.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license; ability to obtain required boiler or CPO licenses.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly and occasional lifts over 100 lb.
