Facilities Manager

About the role

The University of Georgia is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the Science Learning Center (SLC), a state‑of‑the‑art facility that houses introductory STEM courses. This full‑time position works Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, and plays a key part in maintaining a safe, functional learning environment for students and faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of the Science Learning Center facilities.
• Coordinate with campus services and external vendors to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor compliance with university safety policies and relevant regulations.
• Support planning and set‑up for academic events and classroom activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in facilities or building operations.
