Facilities Management Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Management Electrical Engineer will support Bosch Charleston’s plant by ensuring reliable electrical infrastructure and leading projects that improve safety, efficiency, and uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage building and utility electrical systems.
• Perform annual thermal imaging inspections of electrical equipment.
• Maintain emergency power assets, including generators, automatic transfer switches, and universal power supplies.
• Execute power‑distribution maintenance such as transformer DGA testing, substation secondary injection testing, and lubrication per NFPA 69 and FM Global standards.
• Plan utilities for new equipment and keep the electrical spares inventory up to date.
• Update breaker panel schedules as circuits change.
• Lead value‑stream mapping and process‑flow improvements for the power‑distribution network.
• Manage facilities construction and maintenance projects, coordinating contractors, budgets, and schedules.
• Develop RFQs, procure equipment and services, and oversee compliance with Bosch, OSHA, NFPA, and ICC safety requirements.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering background with experience in industrial or facilities environments.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to lead projects, manage contractors, and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
