Facilities Management - Custodian I - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Facilities Management Custodian I works the 3rd (night) shift to ensure that university buildings are clean, safe, and well‑maintained. This position supports the campus community by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks across various facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas during the 3rd shift.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and waste disposal units.
• Monitor building conditions, report maintenance issues, and restock supplies.
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of chemicals.
• Assist with special projects or events as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work the 3rd (night) shift consistently.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift moderate loads.

Required skills

• Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Understanding of safety and chemical handling procedures.
