Facilities Management Custodian I – 2nd Shift

About the role

The University of Arkansas is seeking a Custodian I to join its Facilities Management team on the second shift. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the cleanliness and maintenance of campus buildings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal in assigned facilities.
• Maintain floors, restrooms, and common areas according to university standards.
• Report maintenance issues and assist with minor repairs as needed.
• Stock and replenish supplies in restrooms and break areas.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning equipment responsibly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work the second shift schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
